Zombie Massacre is a Game World in Tower Unite. It is a top-down zombie shooter.

Gameplay

Zombie Massacre is a top down arcade style shooter game. Over the course of six days, a team of survivors is surrounded by hordes of zombies.

Gameplay Loop

One match of Zombie Massacre is composed of 6 days, lasting two minutes each. After selecting classes and upgrades, players are dropped into the map, and have a short period to walk around before the day begins, where zombies will start spawning until the two minutes are up. After the day ends, the players will need to kill all remaining zombies, and a helicopter will drop down, with a 15 second timer to reach it. Reaching the helicopter gives the player 500 points.

Classes

Players can take the role of 6 unique classes: the Doctor, Electrician, Journalist, Mercenary, Survivor, and Scientist. Each one has a unique Special Item and Combo Power. Up to two players can use the same class at any time.

Zombies

There are various types of zombies which fill different roles in combat. There are basic Infected, as well as Ghosts with ranged attacks, exploding Pumpkin Heads, etc. On the sixth and final day, a powerful boss zombie will appear with multiple health bars (4 in multiplayer, 2 singleplayer). The day will end once it is killed.

Killing zombies rewards players with points, and will sometimes drop a weapon or stack of 40 points. Points can be used between days to upgrade certain statistics, like health, damage, starting weapon, etc.

Lives

Each player starts a day with 2 lives (this can be upgraded to 3 lives). If a player loses a life, they will become a tombstone and must wait 5 seconds to respawn. Alternatively, someone can touch their tombstone to revive them early and gain extra points. If a player loses all of their lives and dies, they will become a zombie, and will revive again once killed. Zombies of players are fast, dangerous and should be dealt with as soon as possible.

Maps

Zombie Massacre currently has 5 maps. Maps are ranked by difficulty; difficulty seems to be mainly chosen based on map design and the zombie types that spawn on the map.

Each difficulty has a Unit multiplier: Easy difficulty gives 1x Units, Medium 1.1x, Hard 1.25x, and Very Hard 1.3x.
